Kintyre Gin is made at Beinn an Tuirc Distillery, the area has quite a history of whisky making so we think the art of distillation must run in these folks blood. They use some unusual botanicals including Icelandic Moss (which isn’t even a moss apparently) and sheep sorrel (which you may have tried from your garden before, it has a kind of tart apple peel taste). Their botanical mix is extremely tasty especially with their perfect serve suggestion of tonic water, basil and lime. As if you needed another reason to love this gin they are also making it all at a sustainable distillery using hydroelectric power and they even have a tree planting scheme. Kintyre – WE APPROVE! Bottled at 43% ABV.
